About this portfolio
This selection of images are my only location-specific gallery. They are dedicated to the Test Valley area of Hampshire in the south of the UK. It's the area I was born and so has special significance to me as my love of nature and the countryside was created here in childhood.
At its heart is the River Test itself, famous amongst fishermen as one of the most beautiful chalk streams in the world. After an absence of nearly 40 years I returned to live in the Test Valley in 2021 and it will form a significant part of my photographic work over the next few years. There are enough photographers documenting the mountains, fells and forests of the UK. I am bonded to this gentle valley and will happily serve as its storyteller.
